The Garden Happy Buddha always on my mind weeding thoughts that don’t mean anything at all a great big nothing I recall the seeds we planted in the fall are sprouting Buddy Jesus golden as the sun with the kingdom of heaven in a mustard seed oh the simple truths of love indeed but the youthful martyrs they do bleed your glory And in the garden we shall dance to the rhythm of a trance amidst the bounty of our thoughts and the fruits they bear do taste of the passions we have sought by the fashions of our haste Won’t you have a bite you might think that you are naked you might feel a little flushed and embarrassed at the thought but hey, its not that bad just the apple of a seed Happy Buddha And Buddy Jesus In the Garden

You leave this road behind you far enough that no one catches your trail the only thing I have to find you is a telegram you dropped off in the mail It Reads: “She’s the only one the only one I’ve ever loved the one I left back at the crossroads keeper of many keys she is the midnight queen How I loved her so she holds my heart in spades” Your dark enchanting mistress sees the smoke and she feels the fires burn and the spark of her holocaust lights the very rainbow trail for which you yearn She’s the only one the only one you’ve ever loved the one you left back at the crossroads keeper of many keys she is the midnight queen How you loved her so she holds your heart in spades She is called by many names Hecate, Oh Persephone, Innana, Ishtar, and Scarlet Moon well go ahead! call her many names! maybe I’ll appear before you too You leave this road behind you as you make your way to find your holy grail Scarlet! Scarlet! Scarlet! IF she’s the only one the only one you ever loved why’d you leave her at the crossroads singing songs for stars dividing earthly skies shooting prose in arrows from bows of promises you made If I’m the only one, the only one you’ve ever loved why’d you leave me at the crossroads tending karmic seeds in the garden of your prophecies while licking honey off the edges of razor blades Scarlet! Scarlet! Scarlet!

I’ve become a witness to the stars Forming the shape of the instrument of the Gods I’ve seen their sounds rain down from the sky’s gentle harp And their songs sing of Miracles, Miracles Miracles, unfolding I’ve become a witness to Love awakening From out of the silence, and into the sound I’ve heard the footsteps of the angels dancing And their prayers weave into Miracles, Miracles Miracles, unfolding Can you Hear Can you Feel The rhythm Breathe We are the miracle of love unfolding We are the miracle We are the miracle We are the miracle of love unfolding We are the miracle We are the miracle Become a witness to the stars Forming the shape of the instrument of the Gods see their sounds rain down from the sky’s gentle harp And their songs sing of Miracles, Miracles Miracles, unfolding We are the miracle of love unfolding We are the miracle We are the miracle We are the miracle of love unfolding We are the miracle We are the miracle

I loved a man who didn’t watch the signs he didn’t know the times he didn’t care for mine still hours passed and nothin’ ever changed the pain it felt the same our hearts were always strangers Here’s to the healer of all wounds set back the clocks to other moons send back the sound of our song they played it all wrong I loved a man who didn’t have a dime he didn’t like to rhyme he didn’t care for mine but I’d catch him dancin’ and whistlin’ to my tunes late in the afternoons his timing always too soon Here’s to the healer of all wounds set back the clocks to other moons send back the sound of our song they played it all wrong Where is that man who’s love was not a crime who never stood for lines, no he never stood for mine Here’s to the healer of all wounds set back the clocks to other moons send back the sound of our song they played it all wrong off key and off beat

Oh shattered little hearts, how they reach to cling to broken pieces of the mirrors that are falling, falling oh battered little egos how we suffer sweetly lost again amidst the dramas of our shadowboxing If I may indulge in opinions your story sounds real lengthy and complicated with emotions. Personal. attached to shards of glass a beautiful mosaic of the past Oh precious crystal souls and our many faces each reflecting with the light from unique perspective oh this net of jewels, twinkling in testimony to every song that we’ve ever sung ourselves into If I may partake in my addictions to stories that feel familiar and ridiculous with Emotions. Personal. attached to shards of glass a beautiful mosaic of the past I’d like to watch them explode and dance in the confetti pieces falling all around without reaching out to save them as we both open to God completely break free in our soul cause the love we’ve got to give is gold with nothing broken to hold onto Mosaic hearts break free break free

Lo-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-ove… Oh whimsical dance of the universe Why have you lead me this wa I have surrendered my soul to the sounds of your songs Even when it’s to music I cannot yet play You’ve answered my prayers in symbolic arrangements Of mirrors reflecting back forgotten light As life’s fire storms align in mandala like form What a perfectly brilliant and cyclical sight On which to meditate meditate Chant down the names of The deities laughing their Asses off As I’m struggling in a world of pain to remember that this is The ultimate miracle of Lo-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-ove… Oh mysterious workings of spiritual forces Now is all of this suffering really necessary I call in the courage to transmute these curses But honestly where is the karmic relief Does it come when I finally give up all of my attachments To the intangible beauty of all that you are To the music of a love that was supposed to burn forever But then fell from the sky like a wondering star On which to meditate meditate Chant down the names of the deities Laughing their asses off As I’m struggling in a world of shame to Remember that this is The ultimate miracle of Lo-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-ove… So lets meditate, meditate chant down the names of the dieties meditate, meditate chant down the names of the dieties meditate, meditate, chant down the name meditate, meditate, chant down the name of Lo-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-ove…

Look out! Look out! Look out for them sky pirates sailin’ at the edge of a sunset sailin’ through celestial seas sailin’ through such thunderous cloud formations sailin’ through such stormy weather searchin’ for a fallen star Her heart it is of high value her heart will bring eternal life if you posses it completely you’ll have your immortal pill capture her heart capture her soul lightning in a bottle I built a ship built me a ship out of a poem inside this old whisky flask I tied balloons to its neck up it flew up it flew! past rains of liquor tears past all the sky pirates and all of their earthly fears I sent my message to the stars Your song it is of high value your song will bring eternal love in a brilliant flash gone in an instant, gone forever unless I catch your heart capture your soul If you fall, I will catch you If you fall, I will catch you keep your stardust on my altar Keep your lightning in a bottle Lightning in a bottle Lightning in a bottle Light, Sing in a bottle!

How fast, how fast can you fly up to that doorway in the sky and not look down don’t look down don’t look fast and furious, upward goes the swirling light of lended prose hold your breath, don’t smell the roses offered to the spirits just spread your wings and fly away fly upon the winds of may fly into another day don’t look down mysterious one with silent stares overflowing from your hair whispers spilling everywhere your secret, secret, secret come into this hidden space that I may show you just a taste of this new magic face I’ve found way back on the mother ground when I looked down precious precious heart of gold with dawn mist forming from the fold you smell just like the stories told with memories etched out on moonbeam flakes all in your eyes oh damn your spells and all their ties I swear I thought that I would die before I’d see another day with your sweet face as we would pray upon the bed where we once laid in secret How fast, how fast will you leave just as I start to believe there’s still a thread for us to weave a spool for us to dance upon a happy ending to our song without the ancient longing sound the heart breaks open ever more the aching fits our mythic score and up you fly, up to that door to leave this world and start anew just like you always said you’d do and I’m left hunting all your clues you hid them so auspiciously I’m sure secret, secret, secret

Oh infatuation of mine what have you yet to reveal how many hearts have you broken how many kisses you steal oh intoxicated am i any time I sense you near and as I catch myself reflecting in your eye im faced with a new kind of fear You are beautiful you are beautiful Oh infatuation of mine tell me are you afraid of poetic kisses rehearsing their lines repeating every word that you said oh in total denial am i to think that my song holds the key unlocking the secret behind your eye a perfect reflection of me You are beautiful you are beautiful Rivers of riddles flow backwards in my mind outlining syllables stenciled in time my heart is wide open ready for invading I wonder how long ill be sitting here, waiting Oh infatuation of mine sweet elaboration of mine Holy Incarnation Divine you illuminate my mind You are beautiful you are beautiful

Acid rain falls down on candy glass houses he drinks champagne, while she’s out buying pretty blouses here’s a toast to loneliness he says as he steps into his brand new Mercedes Benz Isn’t this, isn’t this what we wanted isn’t this what all the working was for why do I feel so disenchanted why do I still want more Smog stained streaks of pink and green paint the skies suns are setting every day on shattered horizons time keeps passing slowly harassing him masked as the high gas prices still rising Isn’t this, isn’t this what we wanted isn’t this what America’s for why do I feel so stoic and haunted why do I still want more He slowly turns the key and waits as the Angel of Darkness comes and sets him free no more tears, no more drinks alone no more dreams of coming home (lie to die, lie to die, lie to die)

I’ve a longing in my soul for you I’ve dreamed of sacred union I’ve danced along the edges of my mind where you were standing And I wish to see the emptiness the screen upon which dreams are born where every empty thought gives form and where my aching heart is torn my love for you is sworn to secrecy is sworn to secrecy, is sworn to secret and my aching heart is but a phantom pain of a self, in vain, I thought existed I’ve rested in the nothingness where ache is just a riddle and the answer lies in ideas of ideals of perfect balance I have stood upon their scales I’ve held the rod of measure with the increments that came from the space between my fingers but my love for you is sworn to secrecy is sworn to secrecy, is sworn to secret my aching heart is but a phantom pain of a self, in vain, I thought existed I still don’t have the answer to the questions we were asking like who gave birth to the Goddess and what is the cause behind the causes of the pleasures of this body of the muses of the heart of the tears we were crying on the nights that we made art and the sounds of angels singing in an uproar of devotion in a prayer of liberation for the souls who stay in motion on the path of incarnation to heal the heart of longing while speaking incantations of a love that stays in hiding my love for you is sworn to secrecy is sworn to secrecy, is sworn to secret my aching heart is but a phantom pain of a self, in vain, I thought existed my love for you is sworn to secrecy it is sworn, it is sworn and my aching heart is just a phantom pain of a self in vain I thought, I thought it was a thought, it was I though I thought existed it was a thought, It was a thought I thought existed It was a thought, It was a thought I thought existed was it a thought, was it a thought I thought existed?

There were days when I was so easily impressed
by any charming smiling sage disguise of foggy consciousness oh, yes, it took very little for me to get undressed and into a state somewhere between confused
amused sedated consolated oscillating and depressed These days I try to spend more of my time playing
hopscotch in the chem-trail grids, unafraid and always praying
to the sky whose limits are still undefined
equations cracking codes in-between the lines that I am writing
 to keep myself occupied
to keep myself dancing on the divide to decorate the void I’ve wished to hide to keep it real
to keep myself from forgetting how to feel And I've met several men now who feel that they are Jesus
here to assert upon the world their own enlightening agendas
to seed some sort of concept of light into the darkness
 of their own projections
 to feel important
to feel affection to be remembered or just to be redeemed And I, too, have worn the burdened mask of this savior complex wanting to sing the world out of its dissonant nonsense
wanting to create a sacred stage where anyone could play
any song about whomever they wanted this ‘God’ character to be and in my story
God wanted me to be my own messiah God wanted me to raise myself higher God wanted me to heal myself from the burns of my desire God wanted me to heal myself from my denial to heal myself from my addictions to trust in love and intuition That if I would only learn to listen, all would be revealed (and so it was) And as it were, I reveled in a masochistic dance
revealed symbolically of course as Love and Death's crazy romance
a vicious karmic cycle that I so easily convinced
both my light and shadow selves to jump right into head first and whole-hearted
just to heal from it breaking. Open. To heal from all the lies left yet unspoken To weep the tears that I’ve been choking back To Feel the fears To feel their lack And then to hear my God-self laugh At such a funny little thing

I went walking down A boulevard in Paris And heard a little bird singing Her mourning song reminded me Reminded me how Comforting it was to be Nestled under your wing The tickle of your feathers on my chin As you held me close so I would not blow Away with the wind It was warm, it was sweet It was just what I needed Before spreading my own Ahhhhh
